Chris Pirillo points out that iFilm will carry all the Super Bowl Ads from today's game. Some of my favorites include Godaddy.com, CareerBuilder and Budweiser.

Cotton Bowl List Eater

The Texas A&M student paper, the Battalion, published an uncanny story about a female student who stuffed a paper list into her mouth.  Students who witnessed the event started to taunt her with the nickname "List-Eater."

The woman now known on Internet online communities as "List-Eater" was second in line at ticket window 8. She said there was no line when she arrived at the Kyle Field ticket windows at 4:30 a.m. because those camping out were still asleep. There were lists at each ticket window of those who had been camping out for tickets as early as Sunday afternoon.

Another aggie has created a website to keep track on any news about the list-eater.  He even posted some video of the incident.

Reggie "The Real Deal" McNeal?

The best part of A&M's win last night, was watching Reggie McNeal throw the Hail Mary pass at the end of the 2nd quarter for a touchdown. OSU fans didn't share my enthusiasm.

It's hard to believe that the Aggies have a 5-1 record when you compare it to the 2003 record of 4-8.

Update 17 OCT 2004
It was just a matter of time until the video of Reggie's Hail Mary pass hit the net. Enjoy. [10.5 MB WMV file]

Pink Pantys on Ebay

While driving home this evening, a local radio talk show host, Jeff Ward, brought up an interesting and funny topic. How would you go about selling four college football tickets? Would you consider thowing in some pantys?

Since some of you might care you are bidding on two of four OU Oklahoma UT Texas Red River Shootout football tickets pictured. (Section 125, Row 34, Seats 35 and 36) The tickets are for seats in a block together. There are two seats right in front of the other two so that you can watch the game with your friends. The seats are great since they are between the 35-yard and 25-yard lines and you can see the entire game. I had similar seats last year and the view was amazing so it kind of sucks that I cant go.
The pantys are my pink low rise bikini and is included for spite. SO LONG ERIC!!!

Super Bowl & Janet Jackson

I have to admit I did not notice the whole Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction. I also missed the streaker right before the second half of the game started.

So while driving to work this morning, I was bombarded with descriptions of the half-time show from talk radio listeners. Now this is where Tivo comes handy. I came home today and fast forwarded to the half-time show and low and behold, I SAW it. Regardless of what Justin Timberlake claims, the whole event looked staged to me.

Although Timberlake issued a statement shortly after the show blaming the debacle on a "wardrobe malfunction," in comments to the syndicated show Access Hollywood right after the incident, he didn't seem too sorry.

Then there was the halftime show after the halftime show. Art Spander, columnist for the Oakland Tribune, said he was watching through binoculars as a streaker appeared.

"The guy walked out and kneeled down by the ball, and he had a referee's stripes on," Spander said. "He pulls this thing (apparently an easily removed costume) off, and he's stripped nude, nothing but a G-string."

The man danced and pranced in front of the ball as members of the Carolina Panthers waited to kick off. Then, as security guards rushed onto the field, he ran in the direction of the New England Patriots on the field. Patriots linebacker Matt Chatham belted him, and he was swarmed by the security guards and quickly carried off the field.

The incident was not televised.

A&M vs Arkansas St.

The whole family went out to dinner at Cool River this evening. Our local A&M Club put this football watch party together for the area Aggies.

Kickoff

In a few days the Aggies will take on Arkansas State at Kyle Field (82,600) on Saturday, 30 August 2003. This year the Aggies have a new coaching staff lead by head coach, Dennis Franchione. Since I don't have season tickets this year, I will have to figure out which restaurant/bar in Austin will be showing the game on Pay-Per-View. Gig'em.

In preparation for the season, I watched Rudy this afternoon, which is one of my favorite sport films. I still get teary-eyed watching it.
