Rolling 9-11

A friend sent me some pictures of the Rolling 9-11 memorial, an 18-wheeler with an extensive paint job. Definitely worth a look.

Floral Flag: Red, White and Blue

Somehow I missed seeing this large floral flag when it bloomed in 2002. I even found a picture of it taken from space. Snopes had an entry as well.

I do remember wearing my white t-shirt to Kyle Field for the "Red, White, and Blue Out." It just felt great to participate.

A group of Texas A&M students came up with an idea and started a grass roots effort for football fans attending the game. The student-sponsored event has been approved by the University administration. Fans seated in the first decks should wear blue, fans in the second decks should wear white and fans in the third decks should wear red. The only adjustment comes in the north end zone facility and fans with seats in the 400 sections should wear white along with those seated in The Zone Club area.
The group will sell T-shirts in the three colors for $5 each. Students will sell the shirts Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Zone Plaza and Monday through Friday at the Rudder Fountain/MSC Complex from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. On gameday, shirts will be sold at the Rudder Fountain/MSC Complex from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Proceeds from the sales will go to the New York Firefighters 911 Relief Fund.

Terrorist Road Map

The local paper carried a Washington Post story about a graduate student's dissertation that maps the US infrastructure.

Should Sean Gorman's dissertation be classified or destroyed because it might be used for nefarious plot against the US?

Moved

I was very moved today when a friend sent me a link to a 9/11 memorial that displayed 3,031 flags on a green lawn in Utah. One flag stood for each victim that lost his or her life.
